I was at Chi and Anders's astounding wedding ceremony. Sankta Brigittas Kapell in Gothenburg, Sweden is a memorable place that is perfect for weddings and it was where the couple chose to exchange their vows. It was also my first visit to Brigittas Kapell Gothenburg as a wedding photographer, and I hope to come back again soon.
I simply couldn't ask for a better opportunity than capturing extraordinary destination wedding couples like Chi and Anders and working at wonderful church venues like Sankta Brigittas Kapell Gothenburg, Sweden.
The day began with me photographing Chi whilst she got ready at Scenic Rubinen, Gothenburg. I loved capturing those candid moments of the bride and her party as they got their hair and makeup done.
Once the bridal preparation was complete, Chi made the short journey to the church for the start of the wedding ceremony where Anders was waiting for his beautiful bride and the couple cemented their union in a very lovely ceremony at Sankta Brigittas Kapell in a poignant affair witnessed by family and friends.
After the ceremony, the couple interacted freely with the guest at the reception which took place on the Carl Michael Bellman boat. The guests chatted happily, as they enjoyed drinks of their choice. I mingled around the wedding party photographing the guests candidly whilst they enjoyed their drinks.
Once the wedding meal was finished it was time for the speeches to begin so everybody got ready for some lovely words from the speakers. Photographing the speeches is a challenging part of the day because it's all about the words, so as wedding photographers we have to do our best to tell the story of the words with our pictures.
Soon afterwards, the evening began in full swing and the DJ definitely pulled it off. The wedding floor got crowded while the newlyweds showed off their best moves and partied into the early hours.
