Broome Park Hotel Wedding | Maame & Kofi

I recently had the privilege of photographing Maame and Kofi's wedding at Broome Park Hotel, located in the charming city of Canterbury, Kent. From start to finish, the day was filled with love, laughter, and joy.

Maame looked absolutely radiant in her stunning white wedding dress, which was fitted with a lace bodice and flowed elegantly to the floor. The fact that the bride opted to go without a veil added to the overall beauty of her dress.

As this was an intimate wedding, the bride chose not to have any bridesmaids just so the focus of the entire day would be about the couple and their family.

Kofi, on the other hand, cut a dashing figure in his traditional Scottish kilt. His attire was complete with a tartan sash, sporran, and a handsome jacket, which was adorned with silver buttons. Just like his bride, Kofi opted to have just his brother as best man but no groomsmen. He wore a proud smile on his face as he waited for his bride to walk down the aisle.

The ceremony was supposed to take place outside, on the grounds of Broome Park Hotel but due to unexpected rain, had to be moved indoors. Nonetheless, this did not in any way spoil the unbridled joy and happiness of the day.

As Maame walked down the aisle, Kofi's eyes lit up as he saw her for the first time. The couple exchanged their vows in front of a beautifully decorated floral arch, which added to the romantic ambiance

After the ceremony, we took advantage of the venue's stunning surroundings to take some breathtaking wedding portraits. The landscaped gardens, and charming architecture made for a perfect backdrop for the photos. Maame and Kofi’s love was evident in every shot, and it was a pleasure to capture their special moments

The reception was held inside the elegant ballroom marquee, which was decorated with an array of flowers. The tables were set with fine china and delicate glassware, and the centrepieces were tall, elegant vases filled with blooming flowers. The wedding cake was a masterpiece, adorned with intricate details and delicate sugar flowers

Wedding speeches are an important tradition that provide touching moments and great photo opportunities for any wedding photographer and I wanted to make sure those were captured on the day.

As the evening progressed, the guests enjoyed a delicious meal, followed by hours of dancing and laughter. The newlyweds shared their first dance as a married couple, and it was clear that they were head-over-heels in love.

Maame and Kofi's wedding reception was made even more memorable with the addition of a spectacular fireworks display.

It was an honour to be a part of Maame and Kofi's special day. They were a joy to work with, and their love was truly inspiring. I wish them all the happiness in the world as they start this new chapter in their lives together
